PGF Group (formerly the Problem Gambling Foundation of New Zealand) is a national non-profit organisation providing free, professional, and confidential counselling and support for individuals and families affected by gambling harm in New Zealand.[1]
What is PGF Group
PGF Group (trading name of the Problem Gambling Foundation of New Zealand) is a registered charity (CC23709) incorporated under the Charitable Trusts Act and headquartered in Auckland.[2]
It serves as the overarching brand for three dedicated branches: PGF Services, Mapu Maia Pasifika Services and Asian Family Services.[3] The organisation delivers clinical interventions, treatment, and public health services under contract to the Ministry of Health, funded by the gambling levy.[4]
Role in the industry
PGF Group is the largest single treatment provider for problem gambling in Australasia, with 18 clinics nationwide.[1]
